1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the KAYA website (kaya.azmth.in) or registering for the event, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site or register for the event.
2. Eligibility — Open to Everyone
KAYA is open to everyone — students, professionals, entrepreneurs, creators, researchers, artists, hobbyists and technology enthusiasts of any age, background, institution or experience level. There is no academic or student-only restriction. Anyone with curiosity and creativity is welcome to participate. Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental/guardian consent to participate and pay.
3. Registration
Registration information must be true, current and complete. We reserve the right to verify details via email OTP and ID at the venue, and to cancel or refuse registrations that are fraudulent, incomplete or otherwise non-compliant with these terms.
4. Fees, Payments & Refunds
Fees are ₹100 per person, inclusive of taxes where applicable. Payments are processed via Razorpay. By paying you authorize the charge. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy — in general fees are non-refundable except for organiser cancellation, duplicate charge or failed registration. No cash refunds; gateway fees are non-refundable.
5. Code of Conduct
All participants must treat mentors, judges, organizers and fellow participants with respect. Harassment, discrimination, cheating, plagiarism, or any conduct that disrupts the event may result in disqualification without refund and removal from the venue.
6. Submissions & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your project and any intellectual property you create for KAYA. By submitting, you grant AZMTH Labs a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to showcase, reproduce and publish your work for event promotion, judging, reporting and archival purposes, with attribution to your team.
7. Judging & Prizes
Judging decisions are final and binding. Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the organizers and may be subject to eligibility checks, verification and applicable taxes (including TDS where required). Prize disbursement may require PAN/bank verification.
8. Limitation of Liability
KAYA and AZMTH Labs are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, or personal expenses (travel, stay) arising from your participation, use of the website, or reliance on any content provided. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the registration fee paid.
9. Changes to the Event
We reserve the right to modify schedules, tracks, prizes, venue or event format at any time due to operational or force-majeure reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to inform registered participants by email and on the website.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the event or site for violations of these terms, with or without notice, and without refund where the violation warrants it.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
