KAYA is a platform for young innovators, thinkers and builders to explore the endless possibilities of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. It's a movement to empower young minds to build, explore and create solutions for real world problems.
Everyone is welcome — students, professionals, entrepreneurs, creators, researchers, artists and hobbyists of any age or background. KAYA has no student-only or academic restriction. Just bring curiosity and creativity.
KAYA runs competitions like the Software Hackathon, Buildathon, Bot Wars, Ideathon, AI Short Film Making, AI Music Production, Human vs AI and Case Studies — plus HireFest, Proshows, Exhibits, Launch Day and Panel Discussions. Prize pools run from ₹1L to ₹2L per event.
Teams are encouraged because KAYA rewards collaboration, but solo participation is supported in events with smaller team sizes. Each event lists its team range (1–2, 1–3, 2–4 or 2–5) on the registration form.
Yes — registration is ₹100 per person (so a team of 4 pays ₹400 in total). The fee is the same for everyone. Fee details are shown clearly at the final step before you confirm. See our Refund Policy for cancellation details.
Registration opens 26 August and closes 26 September — online submissions run from 29 August to the same 26 September deadline. Online round results are announced on a date yet to be confirmed, and the offline round takes place at TBD. Robo War has no online round, so its registration stays open until 5 October (5 days before the offline round).
Innovation, technical execution, real-world impact, usability, and the clarity of your final presentation. The detailed rubric is shared with shortlisted teams.
Events carry prize pools from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh, with the Ideathon also offering startup funding and Case Studies offering special prizes from partner companies. Mentorship and a platform to take your project further are included.
Yes. Mentors and industry experts run sessions throughout the event to help teams refine their idea, choose a technical approach and prepare to pitch.
