About the Event

Ideathon is entrepreneurship meets execution — pitch your idea, ship an MVP and prove there’s a real business behind it. This is the closest thing on campus to pitching in front of investors, and it’s built to punish ideas that sound good but don’t hold up.

An idea alone doesn’t win here — you need a problem worth solving, a working prototype that shows you can actually build it, and a business model that answers the question every investor asks first: who pays, and why would they pay you instead of doing nothing. Judges push on market size, unit economics and whether you’ve talked to a single real user, not just whether the slides look polished.

This is where campus founders get their first real reps at the parts of building a company that no course teaches: framing a problem sharply enough that a stranger gets it in thirty seconds, defending your assumptions live, and turning a rough concept into something fundable. Total prize pool: ₹1,00,000 + potential startup funding for the winners.

Rules

  1. 01Teams of 1–3 members.
  2. 02An MVP or working prototype must be demonstrated — ideas alone do not win.
  3. 03Clear problem statement, market and business model required in the pitch.
  4. 04Startups already funded may not compete for funding prizes.
  5. 05Judging focuses on problem clarity, execution, traction potential and pitch quality.

Online Submission — Guidelines & Deliverables

Deadline: 26 September 2026 (Submission deadline)

What to submit

  • A pitch video (max 5 minutes) — problem and target market, an MVP demo of the working prototype, business model and revenue path, and any traction so far.
  • A pitch deck (PDF, max 12 slides).
  • A link to the MVP / prototype (optional but recommended). If created with AI tools, include a short note on which tools were used and how.

How to submit

  1. Complete your registration payment — project submission stays locked until payment is confirmed.
  2. Go to the Participant Dashboard at kaya.azmth.in/dashboard and sign in with your registered email (one-time code).
  3. Open your registration card for this event and fill the Project Submission form: project title, description (what you built and how it answers the brief), and the links below.
  4. Paste your GitHub / source URL, live demo URL and video / presentation URL into their fields. Put any deck or document link in the description if there is no dedicated field.
  5. Hit Submit. You can come back and edit any field until the deadline — the last saved version is what gets judged.

Format & naming

  • All links must be public or unlisted and must stay live until results are announced — no login walls, no expiring links.
  • Videos: MP4, 1080p or higher, within the max length for this event. Host on YouTube (unlisted) or Google Drive (anyone-with-link).
  • Documents: PDF only. Name files as TeamID_Event_Deck.pdf (e.g. KT-2001_Hackathon_Deck.pdf).
  • Google Drive links must have "Anyone with the link – Viewer" access. Test it in an incognito window before submitting.

What gets you disqualified

  • Missing a mandatory deliverable at the deadline.
  • Broken, private or expired links that cannot be accessed by judges.
  • Work created before the event window, or plagiarised / AI-passed-off-as-original where the brief requires your own work.
  • Exceeding the stated word or time limits.

Build Your Dream Team

Different skills make a stronger team. Here's who to bring:

A builder/engineer who can ship a prototype fast.

A product thinker who defines the problem and market.

A storyteller/founder who can pitch and handle questions.
